The Samsung R610 is the lightest Sixteen inch laptop and with a price of $999. Like other Samsung laptop R610 has a shiny black exterior. Competitors such as the Acer Aspire 6930 and the HP Pavilion HDX 16, the new Samsung R610 laptop has no special buttons or media control center. The laptop lacks strong physical feedback; however, as the keyboard keys did not pop back. The 2 mouse buttons are quite easy. The display of the laptop is16 inch with the resolution of 1366×768. Viewing angles are good from 45-50 degrees, no light is reflecting off the smooth screen. Sound is loud enough to be heard across a big room.

The left side of the Samsung R610 laptop comes with an ExpressCard slot, microphone and headphone, HDMI, VGA, and a USB port. The right side, contains one USB port and optical drive. The front lip houses the three-in-one card reader, the back of the laptop has the Ethernet, modem slot and a Kensington lock slots is also available, along with 2 more USB ports.
