The new Samsung Q310-34P laptop is a light weight notebook with a price tag of $1,299.
Design
The shiny black body of the Samsung Q310-34P laptop looks same just like other thin-and-light laptops. The Samsung Q310-34P laptop measures 12.7×9.5×1.1 inches and 4.8 pounds, the weight is nearly same as the HP Pavilion dv3510nr. A USB port, ExpressCard/34 slot, headphone and mic jacks and an 8X optical drive is available on the right side of the laptop. On the left side modem port, VGA and HDMI ports.
A 7-in-1 memory card reader is available on the front side of the laptop, Ethernet jack and two stacked USB ports are available on the rear side. The keyboard is fine but the touchpad is small.
Display and Audio
The 1280×800 pixel display screen looked fine, the audio is good and crisp. Integrated with 1.3 megapixel webcam.
Snappy Performance
The new Samsung Q310-34P comes with 2.2-GHz Intel Core2 Duo P8400 processor and Three GB of Random Access Memory that booted Vista operating system in a just 49 seconds. The 320GB, 5,400 rotations par minute hard disk drive and GMX4500 integrated GPU.
Wi-Fi Performance and Battery Life
The integrated 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi radio performance is nearly same and the data transfer rate of 20.0 Mbps at 14-15 feet, and nearly16 Mbps at 45-50 feet.
The Samsung Q310-34P delivers 4 hours and 41 minutes with its six-cell battery, which is nearly One hour longer than the HP Pavilion dv3510nr.

The Samsung Q310-34P comes with Vista and preinstalled with Adobe Acrobat Reader, Light Scribe, and two months trial of MS Office Professional 2007.
