The silver touchpad of the laptop worked well but provided more struggle than we’re used to. Backlit multimedia touch controls are present just above the keyboard. The volume controls of the laptop work fine.

Display, Webcam, and Speakers

Ports and Remote Control

2 USB, USB/eSATA, HDMI, VGA, a Ethernet and a modem, five in one card reader, and an Express Card/34 slot.

CPU and Hard Drive Performance

The 320 GB, 5400 rotation per minute hard disk drive on the HP dv3510nr copied 4.89GB of files in 3.56 minutes, a rate of 19.5MBps. That’s more than nearly 6MBps faster. The hard disk drive is protected by HP’s Protect Smart technology.

Graphics

The HP dv3510nr laptop’s separate Nvidia GeForce 9300M GPU performed fine. In spite of the little display size, the new HP dv3510nr should be sufficient for informal gaming.
