Gateway has launched its new Laptop, with 16 inches wide screen display and backlit keyboard.
Design
The new Gateway laptop MC-78030u in a new, striking look. Not as much of flashy than other Laptops like the HP HDX 16 laptop. The body of the system has just the correct point of gloss, balance with artificial black leather band that runs upright down the center of the cover. A brushed silver orderly on the cover and just about the ends of the frame includes a black tie appearance to the whole laptop.
The weight is 7.8 pounds and 15.3×10.4×1.7 inches which is too large and heavy in this segment, nearly 1 pound heavier than Sony VAIO FW, which also has nearly the same features. The HP HDX laptop, has the same display size but the weight is just 6.8 pounds.
The smooth design of the laptop extends under the cover to the keyboard and touchpad. The brushed metal palm-rest is relaxed and smooth. Adjoining the touchpad is glossy border that point in the direction of the touchpad. Below the touchpad of the laptop the two bulky touch buttons that are calm and very simple to press.The keyboard on the Gateway MC-78030u laptop is very silence and comfortable.
Backlit Touch Buttons
2 panels of touch responsive buttons side the Gateway MC-78030u laptop’s keyboard. Initial under the Power button on the right side are Video, Music, and Photo shortcut for Window Media Center. Below that 1 shortcut button is present for the browser, and 2 more buttons for Mail and instant messenger. On the right side Play/Pause/Stop, Fast-Forward, and Rewind buttons are present. And just under those is a volume control with a touch mute button under it.
